The Wolverine
I enjoyed it enough to say see it. It may not be as good as "X-Men: First Class" back in 2011, but at least "The Wolverine" will still entertain the audience and (probably) fans. Hugh Jackman (who is also one of the Producers) is pretty much the only one of the X-Men that's in this Film. Nobody else. Storm, Colossus, or Mystique are nowhere to be seen in this Film. It's just Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The whole Film takes place in Japan, as the Film's Director, Gavin Hood, as said. When he said "the whole Film", he really meant THE WHOLE FILM because 100% of this takes place in Japan. Hugh Jackman is pretty much the only one from America in this Film. While the Film did go on a bit to long in this, and the writing in this Film is really, really weak, I still enjoyed this enough because I actually did have fun with this Film. I was never bored, wanted to leave the Theater, groaned, rolled my eyes, or even feel asleep. I actually had a pretty good time while watching this Film. While a lot of the action in this Film was a bit cartoonish and highly unrealistic, it still kept me awake and I still really enjoyed it because at least the actors (especially Jackman) are having a good time doing it. The action in this whole Film is also pretty well-done and very well choreographed. So the Film gets major points for that. Another thing that I liked about this Film is that, again, at least the actors having fun doing this Film. Jackman, in particular, is just having a blast doing his own solo Film. Every scene or every frame that you see Jackman in, he's just having the time of his life. Now my problems with the Film is that the writing in this Film is just so, so, so mediocre and just so, so weak in this. What a shame to because Academy Award winner Christopher McQuarrie ("The Usual Suspects") and Mark Bomback ("Live free or Die Hard", "Rise of the Planet of the Apes") both had some involvement with this Film. Maybe someone most have script doctored this Film to make it more cartoonish and more goofy (I forgot to mention that like all Marvel Films, "The Wolverine" does have some humor in it). The Film also went on for a while to. While I was never bored or wanted to fall asleep with this Film, I actually closed my Eyes like two or three times while watching this. But, look, despite my problems I had with "The Wolverine" I was still able to like it and I had a lot of fun with the action in it. It, again, may not be as good as "X-Men: First Class" or even "Iron Man 3" this year, but it was still a fun enough ride that I say is worth taking. "The Wolverine" is also a heck of a lot better then "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" back in 2009. This is pretty much "The Dark Knight" compared to that Turkey.
