A good day to Die Hard
The story is that John Mclane travels to Russia to get his son Jack, played by Jai Courtney, out of Prison But when that happens he gets heavily mixed up in a very serious terrorist plot. So it's up to John and Jack to save the day So trust me if this story dose not sound as dumb as you may think there is A LOT of other things wrong with this Film. What happened here? What happened to Bruce Willis? What happened to the "Die Hard" franchise? Like most pointless squeals in the past like "The Godfather part III", "The Tow Jakes", and "The Evening Star" show perfect examples of very unnecessary and bland sequels. "A good day to Die Hard" needs to definitely join there ranks as pointless bland sequels because this was just terrible. So what went wrong horribly, horribly wrong in "A good day to Die Hard"? well, first, is the Director of this, John Moore, he directed the equally terrible "Max Payne" back in 2008 and plus the directing he gives the audiences here is just flat out terrible. Whenever the action starts in this Film it's so poorly shot and just so badly edited that I got a HUGE headache when this Film ended. Hell, I couldn't even tell what was going on more then half of the time in this Film! Second, is the Screenwriter, Skip Woods, who, I honestly just cannot stand. He's has botched up so many other great franchises in the past like "X-Men origins: Wolverine", in 2006, and "The A-Team", in 2010. The whole Script is just so full of clichés that the Film suddenly turns into a comedy. Even the amount of humor and wit that worked great in the last Films is just so flat and stale when they attempt it falls so awfully flat and when there NOT, trying to actually make a serious scene in the Film, it becomes unintentionally funny. The Film is short to. It's only about an hour and 30 minutes long. So maybe the Film won't be as painful and embarrassing to watch as you or other "Die Hard" fans may think. The action in this Film to is another major problem with this to because all of it is just bizarrely unrealistic and just goes on forever. So much of this unrealistic action keeps going on that 80% of it is this bizarre action and 20% is storytelling or ACTUAL DIALOGUE. I'm not kidding so much explosions or really loud music is heard that I can't even understand I word that ANY of these Characters are saying. Maybe the scene where, for no reason, Bruce Willis smacks the Russian Guy in the Face and shouted "You think I understand a word your saying?!" should have, instead, been the Screenwriter (Skip Woods) because nonstop action is NOT TELLING A STORY! You have to pause or take a break from the action to explain the situations or the plot to the audience like in "The Bourne Ultimatum" or "Mission: impossible - Ghost Protocol" or even THE LAST "DIE HARD" FILM! Now as awful as number five is I will say that even though the Directing, writing, and action is all terrible I actually wasn't bored for a minute with this. I actually was able to stay awake and watch how it disappoints Fans and every Producer who thought it was a good idea to make this. Once this ended I was not bored, didn't want to go to Bed, or punch a Kitten in the Face I just went on with my Day. Probably watched "Live free or Die Hard" after wards. So, yeah just a dreadful disappointment. If they do "Die Hard 6" then Willis needs to really learn how to read a good script because if "North" in 1994 did him no good then "A good day to Die Hard" did him even WORSE.
