The Dark Knight Rises
A great wrap up to one of the best trilogies in Film History. Behind the "Lord of the Rings", "Star Wars", "Spider-man", and "Toy Story" (which I so far consider to be the best of all time) this was a really great wrap up. Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, and everybody else in this give great performances and do A really good Job in bringing there characters alive. Now the Film is mostly about Bruce Wayne's emotional issues than Batman's. I mean don't get me wrong he DOES become Batman in parts of the Film it's not like "Hulk" back in 2003 in which Hulk doesn't come for about 40 or 45 minutes into the Film. Christian Bale had stated very clear that this was the last time he will be playing Batman in the Film so he does a great Job in bringing out the Batman for the last time. Tom Hardy was also very very great has Bane in the Film. Now although not as memorable as The Joker from the last Film (played by the late Heath Ledger who won the Academy Award for it) he still is a very scary and well acted character in the Film. Trust me when you see the part in it were he beats the living shit out of Batman and almost kills him in the Film's second act you know he's not to be messed around with (sorry for the spoiler!). Anne Hathaway was also great as her role as Selina Kyle/Catwoman and what a RELIEF because it is just amazing to think that 8 years ago we saw Halle Berry utterly humiliate herself as the same person. Trust me it was NOT a pretty sight. Now I did have some problems with the Film (don't worry only 2 so don't start to threaten me or anything). My first complaint is that the Film goes on for a little bit to long and I got a little bit sleepy at some points in the Film and my second (and last) complaint about it is that in the Film, like I said earlier in the review, we get more of Bruce Wayne's story not Batman's and that kind of irritated me a little. But nevertheless Nolan, Bale, Hardy, Hathaway, and everybody else brings one of the best trilogies out there to an epic conclusion with great acting, writing, directing, music from Hans Zimmer, and an ending that will leave you speechless for days. Maybe better then the ending to "The Sixth Sense". The Film was absolutely great!
