Battleship
I can't wait until the "Hungry Hungry Hippos" Film, or the "Chutes and Ladders" Film, or even the "Game of Life" Film because this is just so silly. I hope There will also be a Film about "Candy Land" where it plays like a mixture between "Chinatown" and "Big Momma's House" so that I REALLY am looking forward to. Anyway, When you watch this Film you really can't believe how these Producers thought that this would be an interesting Film. A lot of people are going to laugh at it because it's based on the Board Game (obvious) and because of the it's silly premise It compares a lot to "The Transformers Films" because it has to deal with giant, 200-feet tall robots battling Humans for the fate of the World. Also because it has a lot of popular Actors in it to. There's people like Taylor Kitsch (who had stared in "John Carter" earlier in 2012), Liam Neeson ("Schindler's List", "Taken"), who is only in this for about 10 minutes or so, and even Rihanna. Now she's mostly known for music and songs but I guess that they wanted to appeal for a tween-age group of audiences because she gets a lot of screen time in this, for about 60% of the Film, and because, well, SHE'S RIHANNA! A lot of the performances are very poor in this Film, especially Rihanna in this who just cannot act in this (During some point in the Credits at the end they actually credit her acting Coach), and are very rushed. I think it's maybe because there all having a good with it. A lot of the dialogue in this is very clichéd and just badly written so that'll do some trouble for certain People. It will also be considered a comedy for them as well. What I will say is that I will admit that as dumb as the premise may sound I actually had a lot of fun with this. I mean, yeah sure, the Film sounds stupid but there where some scenes in it that where just so, SO stupid that it kept me pretty entertained for quit a while in this. Some of the action is very clichéd but I completely forgot about it and just enjoyed the Film for what it was trying to do. Another thing about it to is that EVERYONE was having fun doing this When you watch the action scenes in this you can just so the emotion on these Actors Faces that they where just having a blast Filming this. I bet you after the Director said "Cut!" at the end of those scenes the Actors had to take Pills to calm themselves down after. Especially Kitsch, the star of this sane Film, who was just flat out happy filming this Film. So although this Film is not for everybody it will appeal to a much younger Audience, about 12-15, and will give them Erections after the Films done because they all had a blast in the theater. I didn't get one myself, but I did have a descent amount of fun watching this stupid, clichéd, but yet enjoyable little time waster. God help me!
