Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted
Many people have said that "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" is the best of the three "Madagascar" Films (the 2005 and 2008 ones). Now in my opinion, I think that it's still a good Film, but it's just the same as the last "Madagascar" Film back in 2008. What the "Madagascar" Films are always known for is the goofy slapstick, crazy characters (I mean look at the Penguins), over-the-top jokes, and extremely cartoonish action. More cartoonish then you'll ever see in "Over the Hedge" (which, ironically, is another Film that Dreamworks produced). In the first Film people where divided by it because while some thought it was very funny with memorable characters and non-stop slapstick, others said that it was reprehensible with way to much over-the-top characters and was to cartoonish for them to handle. Now when the second one came out in 2008, which was called "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa" it was much more well-received by people and Film Critics because there was more character development from the last Film, had much better slapstick, and the humor in it was much more solid and well-written (it's like the "Star Wars" Films back in 1999-2005 - which is when the first Madagascar Film came out). And now we have "Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted" which is pretty much the same as the last Film. Only this time there isn't that much character development (because the second Film already explained all of that) and this Film has the most slapstick and over-the-top characters then in ANY of the other "Madagascar" Films. Hell, even if they do a fourth one there won't be as over-the-top as this one! So while I don't think that it's the best of the three I will say that this Film was a lot of fun. When I went and saw this Film all of the Kids and Families where just laughing and having a great time watching this. I was to. and I'm a young adult! Ben Stiller, Chris Rock, David Schwimmer, and Jada Pinkett Smith all reprise there roles as Alex the Lion (Stiller), Marty the Zebra (Rock), Melman the Giraffe (Schwimmer), and Gloria the Hippo (Pinkett Smith). All four of them where very funny and all did great jobs voicing there charterers. they where great here and they where all great in the last two Films. The Film also, once again, features Sacha Baron Cohen (voicing King Julien the Lemur), Cedric the Entertainer (voicing Maurice the Aye-Aye), Andy Richter (voicing, the little brown, Mort the Lemur), and others. They where all great and pretty funny in this as well. The "Madagascar" Films are just for Kids because, like I said before, it's very cartoonish and very over-the-top. Some Adults may get annoyed watching the Film because of this, while Kids will just be laughing and having the time of there lives. I'm saying this because there where just some moments in this that I thought where just so silly and so goofy that it kind of reminded me that I'm practically a young adult seeing a Film with a walking, talking Zebra dresses up as a Clown with an Afro dancing and singing. Now I wasn't cringing in my Seat when that kind of stuff was happening, but I was just reminding myself that this Film is for Kids and they don't really know better at times. But once those kind of scenes ended, the Film got it's grove on with well-written and well put together humor and slapstick. So Kids are going to love and not stop talking about this Film for days, while Adults.... Not so much. Now I still liked this Film, but this is the kind of Film for kids that are about eight or nine years old. And I don't mean that in any kind of bad way, I'm just saying that these kind of Films are intended for that kind of audience.
