I don't know about everybody else but I for one thought it was a very well-made and very well-acted Film. The Actors in this Film give very good performances as there charterers in the Film. The Film is actually based on a true Story. As it says in the Poster. It's also based on a Book adapted by Screenwriter Nick Cave (who's best known for being a Musician). The story for this is that in 1931 three brothers; Jack, played by LaBeouf ("Transformers", "Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the crystal Skull"), Forrest, played by Tom Hardy ("Tinker Tailor Solider Spy", "The Dark Knight rises"), and Howard, played by Jason Clarke ("Death Race") run a very successful moonshine business in Franklin Country. But then one day Jack sees a mobster named Floyd Banner, played by Gary Oldman ("The dark Knight", "Tinker Tailor Solider Spy") murdering a competitor. When this happens they both exchange looks. After that prohibition happens and it starts to effect there business real bad. I will say that the story during a lot of it kept me on the edge of my seat a lot and I was sweating after some of the Films intense moments kicked in. Like I was really rooting for LaBeouf in this Film. All those times in the Film where he almost got killed in the Film really had my Heart racing and was sweating HARD. He was great in this Film. I should regret saying that he was a terrible Actor, especially in "Transformers: revenge of the fallen", because here he really gave a great, solid performance in this Film. Tom Hardy was also great in this to. After playing the sinister Bane in "The Dark Knight rises" he, once again, gives a great nerve-wrecking performance in this Film. Jessica Chastain ("The Tree of life", "The Help"), who I forgot to mention in the summary for this Film's plot, was also incredible in this Film. She was really emotional and spirited in this whole Film. Everybody has great chemistry with each other in this Film. They all worked together and helped the Audience feel strong empathy for them at certain times. During the fighting scenes then you really see how much chemistry and effort that these Actors had to do in this. Director John Hillcoat ("The Proposition", "The Road") brings to life a very well done Film by giving some really great directing whether it's during a fight scene, a dramatic scene, or even that one sex scene in the Film. I'm not going to spoil it. He really did a great job. He brought this Script, written by Nick Cave ("The Prostitution", that he also had involvement with the director for this.), to life in one of the best possible ways ever. It was a really good Script. Now although the Film could have been a little bit longer (it could have explained more of what was happening to Jack and to the rest of his Brothers) it still kept me highly entertained. This Film is not for the faint of Heart (It has A LOT of strong graphic violence and cruelty. As the MPAA has rated it). but for those who will be brave enough to watch this Film in a terminal matter I'm sure it'll be one of the best Films you'll see in 2012. So I say check it out.
