The Hobbit: an unexpected Journey
Well considering nearly every known Film Critic is just tearing this Film apart and some even calling it "The Lord of the Ring's Phantom Menace". Some were also calling it "bloated", "Unnecessary", and "Insulting to The Lord of the Rings Movies". I just want to say that I totally understand the reviews. The reason that Film Critics are just talking shit about The Hobbit is because, this is also the problems I HAD with the Film myself, One - Unlike the Lord of the Rings Films in which "Fellowship of the Ring", "Two Towers", and "Return of the King" were all based on three separate Novels by J. R. R. Tolkien this one is only based on one Novel, "The Hobbit", Peter Jackson has literally decided to make this into a whole 2 hour set of trilogy Films. Two - The Film is nearly 3 hours long and the Novel is only about 310 pages long. And Three - Peter Jackson decided to shot the entire damn Film in 48fps. Now why is that a problem? because when you watch the Film it looks like an HBO Film or a PS3 Video Game. The Film was also very sharp and crystal clear to witch made it look like the HBO Film like I mentioned. It was like watching an episode of "Game of Thrones" or something. Well know that I got out why critics didn't like this and my problems with the Film, I just want to say that I ACTUALLY LIKED THE FILM! I liked it because despite all of my problems with it I enjoyed it because Despite the Films look I actually was able to ignore it and have a fun time with a lot of the action scenes, All of the Actors (everyone came back from Lord of the Rings) all gave good, thoughtful performances, and I thought it ended with a good climax. At the very end of this Film Bilbo Baggins says: "I do believe the worst is behind us" which is pretty ironic because despite this being the somewhat weakest effort of the upcoming prequel trilogy it was still entertaining and I do hope that the better will be before me when I go check out part 2 of it. So, again I thought it was pretty good but not Great Great like the Lord of the Rings Films.
